Branch of foreign merchant
A branch is a part of an enterprise (both foreign and Latvian) with a certain organizational permanence and is located in a different territorial location than the main enterprise. The degree of dependence on the main company may vary. Its main task is to do business in a particular location, thus expanding the company’s market, the availability of the service and, of course, generating higher revenue.
For example, banks set up their own branches in different cities to make their services available in the widest possible area. The establishment of such companies does not require any equity capital because the principal company is responsible for the liabilities. If the main company is a foreign merchant, after the registration of the companies of such branches, taxes are paid to the state of the main company.
